Rusty's Bumper - Front Trail Bumper - XJ

We have always been an XJ Cherokee specialist, and we're constantly coming up with new ideas and refining designs. Our new XJ trail bumper was the direct result of requests from our customers to design a strong plate steel bumper that maximized ground clearance, didn't hurt approach angle, and kept the winch tucked up tight without obstructing the grille. You asked, and we delivered!

The XJ Trail Bumper is constructed of 3/16" and 1/4" thick laser-cut steel that has been CNC formed for a precise fit. Unlike our competitors, it is powder coated for long lasting durability! It incorporates a winch mount that tucks the winch inboard and under the grille. Most other designs position the winch in front of the grille, which obstructs airflow to the radiator and also causes the bumper to be pushed out far in front of the grille, which hurts approach angle. The bumper also offers complete frontend protection and tapers towards the ends in order to maximize clearance in front of the tires. Further, it incorporates lightening holes on the lower edges, which look cool and helps reduce overall weight. Last but not least, two D-ring mounts are incorporated into the bumper for sturdy recovery points. Designed to accept the WARN M8000 winch.

The winch mount is well reinforced and is rated to handle winches up to 10,000 lbs. It can accommodate most popular brand winches, however it's impossible to test-fit every winch on the market and some may require slight modifications to fit. We recommend a low profile winch with a separate solenoid pack; this makes it easier to access the remote plugin and maximizes clearance to the radiator.
